FW: "Nature Matters!" National Contest - International Year of Biodiversity AGES 9 to 35!

Until March 28, Environment Canada is inviting Canadians between the ages of 9 and 35 to submit short written or video essays that answer the following question: "Why is nature important to you?"

The United Nations declared 2010 to be the International Year of Biodiversity and as part of Environment Canada's celebration of this event, they have launched a national contest called:  Nature Matters!

Winners of the contest will be flown to Ottawa as guests of honour for the Grand Reopening event of the Canadian Museum of Nature, on International Biodiversity Day on May 22, 2010, where their achievement will be announced. Additionally, all grand-prize winning written and video essays will be displayed at the Biosphère in Montreal during 2010.

Les Nations Unies ont déclaré 2010 l'Année internationale de la biodiversité, et pour souligner cet événement, Environnement Canada a, entre autres, lancé un concours national intitulé : « La nature, ça conte! ».

Les lauréats de ce concours seront transportés sans frais à Ottawa à titre d'invités d'honneur pour la grande réouverture du Musée canadien de la nature, lors de la Journée internationale de la biodiversité, le 22 mai 2010. À cette occasion, on fera connaître les réalisations des gagnants. De plus, toutes les compositions écrites et vidéo gagnantes seront exposées à la Biosphère de Montréal au cours de 2010.
