YouTube interview with Suzuki by Marten Berkman

Hi all,
with land use planning happening right now for the Peel watershed, I thought it would be timely to share an interview I had with David Suzuki here in the studio. David kindly spent time sharing his thoughts on meaning of the wild for my film in progress, "Wild Waters, Sacred Places" which explores our deep connection with the land. His insights are vigorously refreshing on the big picture we are a part of, on a rational, and heart felt level.
Please feel free to forward, and don't forget to give your comments on land use in the Peel:
I'll be posting another video, hopefully soon, of locals from industry, science, the arts, First Nations, and spiritual communities commenting on the same.
cheers,
marten

Alaska Sandhill Crane Watch

Follow Sandhill Cranes as they return to Alaska. The ten Lesser Sandhill Cranes were tagged with a satellite GPS transmitter and a radio tracking device to allow researchers to gather more information to help protect habitat for these ancient birds. The cranes will leave their wintering area in California between February 15 and March 1 and will arrive in Homer around mid-April. Maps and access to the Google Earth information is found at http://www.werc.usgs.gov/sattrack/cranes/maps.html. Additional information can be found at http://www.cranewatch.org.
